Solas approved fire extinguisher
Three types of fire extinguishers are approved on Ships:

Dry Chemical Powder (DCP) Fire Extinguisher for Marine and Offshore industry
DCP fire extinguishers are suitable for Class A, B and E fires. Their ability to tackle various types of fire, low cost, effectiveness and compliant to Australian Standard AS 1841 make them a very popular fire extinguisher.
We offer the following types of DCP Extinguishers:
ABE – wood, paper, flammable liquid or live electrical equipment fires
AFFF Foam Fire Extinguisher
Foam fire extinguishers extinguish the fire by forming a blanket of foam over the surface of the flammable liquid. Blanketing effect cuts of the air supply, which in turn prevents the release of flammable vapour and thus restricts fire.
Foam fire extinguishers are perfect for an emergency first response against liquid fire.
